‘Sea of Dreams’

Artistic interpretation of a place, perhaps of this world, or another world, or a world in our dreams. Where we wonder at it’s beauty and the everchanging colours. In these moments of contemplation and ‘wave watching’, often our deepest thoughts which are forced to one side during the busy demands of the day, are released in this place where dreams and thoughts are given time to manifest themselves. These could be coloured waters of a sea on a distance planet, or the colours we dream of in a place far beyond physical reach, yet we can be there in an instance, our thoughts and dreams giving this special place a special secret existence.

This piece includes real oyster shell from Cornwall fishermen (Padstow) and fused glass with light catching mixed media on silks, satins, organzas and light catching fabrics. Pressed flora includes hydrangea, gypsophilia, fushia and lichen from my Cornish garden.   << Back To Gallery
