IntroducingSusan Fowler

Susan is a leading UK contemporary pressed flower and mixed media artist. Her work is held in collections worldwide and in the UK. ‘Susan’s work has appeared in publications ‘TATLER’, ‘World of Interiors’, ‘London Life Magazines’, ‘London Luxury Living Magazine FABRIC’. She has also been a guest blogger for the Eden Project and has had several interviews about her work on BBC Radio Cornwall.

She is self-taught. Having suffered a head injury after contracting meningitis whilst a practising lawyer, this was the catalyst for her truly unique artwork. Susan is also author of her latest autobiography ‘Blue Yonder and Beyond’ which is available to buy from her direct.

She selects flora from her Cornish garden and windswept local seaweed which she lays on luxurious silks and satins with light catching mixed media including precious stones, fishing net and metallic threads.

The need to express herself creatively in art became all consuming and in 2012 she had ‘the moment’ in the office when she realised she nolonger belonged in an office and had to follow her new artistic path, her dream of becoming an artist.

The rest is history.

Susan had her London debut solo exhibition at J/M Gallery, Portobello Road, London in 2023.

In 2024 her work was also selected to appear in two exhibitions by the prestigious St Ives Society of Artists in their Mariner’s Gallery, St Ives, Cornwall. The Society has been established in St Ives since the 1920’s and work is selected by their panel of art curators.
